Bio: 

Tyra Palmer has more than 30 years of health care marketing, communications and government relations experience. She serves as Senior Vice President, Marketing & Government Relations for Ardent Health Services, the  nation’s third largest, private investor-owned acute health care company with $3 billion in annual revenue. Ardent includes 30 hospitals, 4,395 patient beds, 25,000 employees,more than 1,000 employed providers and over 300 clinics located in six states.

Her career is punctuated by the development of dynamic marketing and communications strategies and demonstrated success in building brand awareness and loyalty. She has consistentlyachieved market share growth and built consensus among Ardent’s acute care hospitals, multi-specialty physician groups and ancillary operations.

Tyra has created multiple, award-winning campaigns, including the nationally recognized “Don’t Bug Me” flu prevention campaign which has been duplicated in 33 states. She serves on the Federation of American Hospitals advocacy and public relations committees and is a guest lecturer on crisis communication at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2015, she won the OHA Advocacy in Action award from the Oklahoma Hospital Association for her advocacy efforts to advance important initiatives strengthening the provision of health care in Oklahoma.

Prior to joining Ardent, she served as Vice President of Marketing and Government Relations for Hillcrest HealthCare System. Tyra is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma.
